This coming Monday sees the celebration of Hari Raya Haji. Marking the end of the Haj, Hari Raya Haji, also known as Eid al-Adha or “Festival of Sacrifice”, commemorates Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham)’s faith and trust in God, demonstrated through his willingness to sacrifice his son Ismail (Ishmael) as an act of submission to God’s command.
I would like to wish those of you in our community who celebrating Hari Raya Haji 'Selamat Menyambut Hari Raya Haji'. For those of you who do not celebrate Hari Raya Haji I hope you all have an enjoyable and relaxing long weekend.
