This rich experience of literacy will be show cased at the school next week with our annual Literacy week. During this week we are very pleased to invite in 3 accomplished storytellers: Sarah Mounsey , Sarah Brennan and Roger Jenkins,
who will be helping students to understand the power of storytelling both spoken and written.
Classrooms will be open on Wednesday 11th February between 8.15 and 9.15am for you to come in and experience the rich literacy environment at ISS with your child.
The Bookaburra book fair will be open for purchasing books on Tuesday to Thursday from 2.30 to 4.30pm, and Wednesday from 8.15 to 10.00am (after the Literacy morning).
The week will culminate on Friday 13th with Book Dress Up Day where the students will dress up as their favourite book character. Friday is a busy day as it also sees our Chinese New Year Assemblies in the afternoon.
It should be an amazing week of learning for our students and I hope to see many parents on Wednesday morning.
Mandarin Survey
As a school we, like our students, are continually looking to learn and improve.
Your feedback is vital to help us to do this. Please find attached a link to a survey about Mandarin learning at ISS. http://goo.gl/forms/jkCji6Ydeg
If you have any questions about this survey please contact Fang Shelly [email protected], who is the school's Mandarin Coordinator.
