Firstly on Sunday is the ISS Fun Fair. I look forward to seeing you all there and it will be worth sticking around until the end as I'm the volunteer/victim in the final session of the water dunk!
A huge thank you to all of the PTA, staff and students who have been working so hard to ensure the day will be a success.
The second event is the Exhibition. The Exhibition has involved Grade 5 students working collaboratively to conduct an in-depth inquiry into real life issues or problems. Students have collectively synthesised all of the essential elements of the PYP in ways that can be shared with the whole school community.
The Exhibition also provides teachers with a powerful and authentic process for assessing student understanding.
Our Grade 5's have been working amazingly hard and the whole ISS community is welcome to come to see the learning of our Grade 5 students on Tuesday (all day) and Wednesday morning.
Talented Teachers
Sharyn Skrtic will be presenting at the IB Conference Asia Pacific in Macao this week.
Yan Ping Zhao will be providing consultancy services to a school in Shanghai over the break.
What is an IB education?
A new video released by the IB explains very clearly what an IB eduction is and shows the power of using both images and words to get an idea across.
